Grounding degree in regression
Enter the number of variables, the amount of market data and your model's significance. The calculator shows the degree (I, II or III) reached in each item of NBR 14653-2 Table 1 and the possible final degree.

Minimum data per degree (n)
Items 2, 5 and 6 are computed from your numbers; items 1, 3 and 4 are declared. Classification per NBR 14653-2:2011, Table 1.
FAQ
How many market data points do I need for Degree III?
Per NBR 14653-2, the minimum amount of effectively used data is 6·(k+1) for Degree III, 4·(k+1) for Degree II and 3·(k+1) for Degree I, where k is the number of independent variables.
Does the calculator decide my report's degree by itself?
No. It objectively classifies the quantitative items (amount of data, t-test and F-test) and lets you declare the qualitative items. The final report degree depends on the professional's full analysis.
Difference between grounding degree and precision degree?
Grounding measures methodological rigor (Table 1). Precision measures the confidence-interval amplitude of the estimated value (Table 2). They are independent, and Valora computes both automatically.
